Join this collaboration ride between Naperville Bicycle Club and Life Time Warrenville every Saturday mid-April to mid-October, weather permitting. Cyclists meet at Trek of Naperville, 3416 Route 59, at 7:30 am. Plenty of parking. 🚗 The ride offers three groups (A, B and C) based on pace and distance. C is the slowest. As of May 20th, Chicago’s MLS, MRED, officially cut off its listing feed to Zillow during a dispute over private and pre-market listings. Here’s what buyers and sellers need to understand: Agents and brokerages use something called the Private Listing Network to strategically market homes before they go public. Zillow doesn’t have access to those listings, and they tried to push policies that could penalize listings marketed outside their platform first. MRED said no. Why does this matter? Because Zillow doesn’t create the listings, take the photos, write the descriptions, develop pricing strategies, market the property, or negotiate the deals. Agents do. This should always be about consumer choice, not a corporate platform making the rules. The good news is, if you’re working with the right Realtor, this really doesn’t affect you much at all. You will still have access to real-time listing data, including active listings and private listings not available on Zillow. What Zillow can’t show you, I can.
